Gandaki: The Pokhara Metropolitan City (PMC) has announced the 'Pokhara for All Seasons' scheme to boost tourism and attract visitors throughout the year. This initiative, launched in partnership with the private sector, aims to showcase Pokhara's stunning lakes and landscapes to a broader audience.

In a bid to further promote tourism, PMC has declared 2025 as Pokhara Visit Year, targeting at least 1.5 million tourists. Mayor Dhan Raj Acharya, while unveiling the annual policies and programs for the fiscal year 2024/25, highlighted the collaborative efforts with federal and provincial governments to achieve this ambitious goal.

Key aspects of the new policies include the development of an action plan under the Tourism Capital Pokhara Integrated Strategy, and the 'One Ward, One Special Program' to highlight the unique identities of each of the 33 wards. Additionally, PMC plans to organize investment events to attract domestic and foreign investments and will utilize digital media for tourism promotion by preparing detailed profiles of major tourist spots in the Metropolis.
