Heavy Rainfall Likely in Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, and Sudurpaschim

Kathmandu: The monsoon is bringing significant rainfall to various provinces in Nepal. This morning, Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces are experiencing rainfall, according to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology's Weather Forecasting Division.
Light to moderate rainfall is also occurring in one or two locations in Lumbini and Karnali provinces.
Later this afternoon, light to moderate rain accompanied by thunder and lightning is expected in several areas of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces, as well as in a few places across the rest of the country.
Tonight, heavy rain is forecasted for some areas in Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, and Sudurpaschim provinces, and in one or two locations in the remaining parts of the country. The Department advises all concerned to stay alert and prepared for potential heavy rainfall and its impacts.
