Kathmandu: Light to moderate rain is currently occurring in Koshi, Madhes, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces due to the influence of monsoon winds across the country, reports the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology.

The Department has forecasted heavy rain in some locations within Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces over the next 24 hours.

This morning's weather bulletin from the Department indicates that the weather will be partly to mostly cloudy throughout the country this afternoon. There is a possibility of light to moderate rain, accompanied by thunder and lightning, in some areas of Koshi, Madhes, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces, as well as some locations in Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces. Additionally, heavy rain is expected at one or two spots in Koshi and Gandaki provinces.

Tonight, the weather is expected to remain partly to mostly cloudy nationwide. Light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning is likely in some parts of Koshi, Madhes, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, along with certain areas in Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces. Heavy rain is also anticipated at one or two locations in the Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki regions.

Over the next 24 hours, light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning is expected in some areas of Koshi, Madhes, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces, as well as in parts of Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces, the Department added.
