Kathmandu: Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, Badri Prasad Pande, has emphasized the importance of integrity among the employees of the Pashupati Area Development Trust (PADT). As the Chairman of PADT, Minister Pande stressed that all activities in this sacred area must adhere to cultural and disciplinary standards.

In his address, Minister Pande stated, "The works here differ from the works elsewhere. Morality and honesty must be reflected in performance. Transparency in any work is essential so that this religious site and institution always retain faith, trust, and honour."

He highlighted that PADT's activities play a significant role in enhancing its spiritual image, noting that Pashupatinath is a central faith for Vedic Hindu devotees worldwide.

Joint Secretary at the Ministry, Hemraj Tamang, acknowledged the importance of preserving the Pashupatinath Temple, which attracts tens of millions of devotees annually. He assured that the government is ready to support PADT in this endeavor.

However, PADT Member Secretary, Dr. Milan Kumar Thapa, shared the challenges faced by the Trust, particularly the complaints received when initiating new projects and the ongoing shortage of human resources. Dr. Thapa provided the Minister with an overview of PADT's activities.

Additionally, PADT Spokesperson Rewati Raman Adhikari gave an introductory presentation about the Trust, highlighting its functions and responsibilities.

Minister Pande's call for integrity and transparency aims to ensure that the Pashupatinath Temple continues to be a place of faith, trust, and honour for devotees around the world.
