National Day Concert Held in Kathmandu to Mark Constitution Day

Kathmandu: A grand 'National Day Concert' was organized today at Durbar Marg, Kathmandu, to celebrate Constitution Day. The event began with a joint orchestra performance by the musical bands of the Nepal Police, Nepal Army, and Armed Police Force, followed by performances from 32 artists representing all seven provinces of Nepal.

The concert, lasting four hours, was organized by the National Day Council, consisting of 151 individuals who have contributed to society. Renowned artists such as Kutumb band, Anand Karki, Kunti Moktan, Devika Bandana, Sugam Pokharel, Deepak Limbu, Pramod Kharel, Suwani Moktan, and Swapna Suman performed at the event, presenting a total of 16 songs inspired by national sentiments.

Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, accompanied by his spouse Radhika Shakya, Deputy Prime Minister Bishnu Paudel, and Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak, attended the concert. Upon his arrival, Prime Minister Oli waved the national flag, exchanged Constitution Day greetings with participants, and extended his best wishes to all on the occasion of the National Day. He praised the efforts of the organizers and urged the public to celebrate the day with enthusiasm.

More than 5,000 security personnel from Nepal Police and Armed Police Force were mobilized for the event's security, while traffic in the area was diverted, and designated parking spots were provided by Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police.
