Kathmandu: Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) has posted a profit of Rs 9.55 billion in the fiscal year 2024/25, the state-owned enterprise announced during its 43rd Annual General Meeting held on Friday.
According to the Corporation, it imported petroleum products worth Rs 356.72 billion and sold them for Rs 364.52 billion during the fiscal year. The figures mark a solid performance for NOC, which maintains a monopoly on the import and distribution of petroleum products in Nepal.
In comparison, the corporation had sold petroleum products worth Rs 383 billion in the previous fiscal year 2023/24.
NOC officials noted that the Corporation has continued to ensure uninterrupted nationwide supply of petroleum products, while also improving its financial position.
