Kathmandu: The first international friendly football match between Nepal and Bangladesh ended in a 0–0 draw at the Dasharath Stadium in Tripureshwor on Saturday.

Missed Opportunities on Both Sides

Both teams created several chances but failed to capitalize, leaving the scoreline unchanged. Fans were treated to moments of attacking play, but finishing proved to be the missing element for both Nepal and Bangladesh.

Second Match Scheduled

Nepal will face Bangladesh again in their second friendly match on Tuesday at 5:30 pm, also at the Dasharath Stadium.

Stadium Back in Action

The match marked the first international men’s football fixture at the Dasharath Stadium in nearly two years. The last time Nepal’s men’s team played there was against Yemen in November 2023.

In recent months, the All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) had shifted Nepal’s home matches abroad after the stadium was declared unfit for international play. Saturday’s game thus brought the country’s premier football ground back to life, much to the delight of fans.
