UML to Move Supreme Court Seeking Restoration of House of Representatives

Kathmandu: The CPN (UML) has decided to file a writ petition at the Supreme Court demanding the reinstatement of the dissolved House of Representatives.
At a meeting of UML lawmakers from the dissolved parliament held today, the members agreed to submit the petition with their collective signatures, Chief Whip Mahesh Bartaula said. Bartaula and Whip Sunita Baral have been authorized to register the writ.
During the meeting at the UML central office in Chyasal, party Chair and former Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli emphasized the need to pursue both legal measures and peaceful political struggle to ensure the restoration of parliament.
