Kathmandu: Pushpa Kamal Dahal, coordinator of the Nepali Communist Party and former Prime Minister, has accused the government of inflicting the greatest hardship on poor and working-class people.

Speaking at a program held in Kathmandu on Sunday, Prachanda claimed that the current government is pursuing policies aimed at weakening the poor and laboring communities.

He also acknowledged weaknesses within the communist movement, stating that communist forces have failed to firmly maintain their class base.

Prachanda further alleged that both domestic and foreign reactionary forces are actively working to weaken communist forces in Nepal. Stressing the importance of class solidarity, he said communist groups must remain united to strengthen the class struggle.

He stated that unity among communist parties and groups is essential to protect the interests of marginalized communities and preserve communist ideology in the country.

“Right now, the government has attacked the poorest and most disadvantaged classes. An attempt is being made to eliminate communism in Nepal by attacking the class base. Therefore, unity among all communists is necessary to elevate the class struggle,” Prachanda said.
The former Prime Minister also expressed confidence that the Nepali people continue to place their trust in communist forces.
