Biratnagar: President Ramchandra Paudel emphasized the importance of building a self-reliant and prosperous economy during the Democratic Fighters' Honor Ceremony and industrialists' conclave. President Paudel highlighted the significant role industrialists could play in shaping a socialism-oriented economy.

The President acknowledged the positive results of the government's initiatives to recover the national economy affected by COVID-19 but expressed concerns about missed revenue targets and industries not operating at full scale. He commended the historical significance of Biratnagar, referring to it as the provenance of both political and industrial revolutions, notably housing the oldest Biratnagar Jute Mill and being the initiation site of the labor movement.

President Paudel congratulated democratic figures, leaders, industrialists, and journalists honored during the ceremony. He stressed the need to halt brain drain by providing training to local human resources and fostering capable individuals through the expansion of industries in agriculture, forestry, and minerals.

While recognizing the government's role, President Paudel emphasized the necessity of effective collaboration between the government and the private sector through public-private partnerships. He announced the government's commitment to formulating new policies in consultation with the private sector and fostering broader collaboration at federal, provincial, and local levels.

President Paudel outlined the potential of the Koshi Province in tourism and industry and urged strong determination, commitment, honesty, and morality for development. He envisioned the development of various shrines and destinations in the region to contribute to the national economy.

The President wished for the successful tenure of the establishment leadership team and the well-being of those honored during the event. The program, presided over by Bhim Ghimire, President of the Confederation of Nepalese Industries (CNI), featured insights from various leaders, including Koshi Province Chief Parshuram Khapung, Chief Minister Kedar Karki, and Nepali Congress' central committee member Bijaya Kumar Gachchhadar.
