Kathmandu: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' has affirmed that the forthcoming fiscal year's policy, programme, and budget will prioritize the needs of underprivileged classes and regions that lag behind in national development indicators.

Speaking at the 10th full meeting of the CPN (Maoist Centre)'s parliamentary party, Chairman and Prime Minister Prachanda emphasized the importance of learning from past experiences in shaping the new budget.

"The policy, programme, and budget will revolve around the principles of good governance, social justice, and prosperity, with a specific focus on uplifting the underprivileged," stated PM Prachanda, as quoted by Maoist Centre's chief whip Hitraj Pandey.

PM Prachanda directed ministers from the Maoist Centre to engage with party lawmakers and incorporate their feedback into budgetary preparations. He stressed the need to uplift communities in Madhes, areas along the Postal Highway, Karnali, Dalits, and oppressed communities.

Furthermore, the PM urged lawmakers to provide input for enhancing production growth, employment creation, and to gather recommendations from experts across various sectors.

During the meeting, Maoist Centre lawmakers underscored the importance of addressing people's expectations amidst limited resources. Chief Whip Pandey highlighted the decision to streamline and enhance the effectiveness of the upcoming parliamentary session, prioritizing the passage of bills through thematic committees.
