Heavy Rainfall Expected in Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini Provinces

Kathmandu: The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has forecasted heavy rainfall in Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces of Nepal. Currently, these regions are experiencing partly to generally cloudy weather, with some areas witnessing light to moderate rain accompanied by thunder, storm, and lightning.

This weather pattern is attributed to the influence of westerly and local winds, along with a low-pressure system formed around Bihar in India. The department predicts that the weather will remain partly to generally cloudy throughout the afternoon, with the likelihood of light to moderate rain accompanied by thunder and lightning in certain areas. Additionally, there is a possibility of heavy rainfall at isolated locations within Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces.

As the day progresses into the late hours, the weather is expected to maintain a similar pattern, with the possibility of light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning in various parts of Koshi, Madhes, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces, as well as a few places in the remaining provinces.

According to the morning weather bulletin issued by the department, over the next 24 hours, some regions of the country may experience light to moderate rainfall accompanied by lightning.
