NC to Take Initiatives to Resolve Issues of Foreign Employment Agencies, Says Deuba

Kathmandu: Nepali Congress (NC) President Sher Bahadur Deuba has pledged that his party will actively work to address the challenges faced by foreign employment agencies. During a meeting held on Saturday with the newly elected working committee of the Nepal Democratic Foreign Employment Professionals Association, which is affiliated with the NC, President Deuba committed to taking initiatives to resolve these issues.

President Deuba, who is also a former Prime Minister, assured that the NC will raise the concerns of foreign employment professionals in the parliament. Deepak Thapa, Chairman of the Association, highlighted the dissatisfaction among recruiting agencies regarding the government's policy of sending only 100 workers abroad annually and requested Deuba to advocate for a policy review.

The meeting was attended by Party Vice President Purna Bahadur Khadka, NC's Foreign Employment Coordination and Immigration Department Head Prakash Rasaili Snehi, NC Central Committee Member Sita Devkota, NC Central Office Chief Secretary and National Assembly Member Krishna Prasad Paudel, among others.

Earlier on Thursday, representatives from the Foreign Employment Professionals Association and various party-affiliated business associations met with Minister for Labour, Employment and Social Security DP Aryal to discuss the existing problems in the field of foreign employment and to present practical recommendations for improvement.
