Kathmandu: The top leaders of Nepal's three major political parties have expressed a unified commitment to reach a consensus on the remaining issues related to transitional justice (TJ).

In a meeting held this evening at the Prime Minister's residence in Baluwatar, leaders agreed to finalize the TJ matters, according to Minister for Law, Justice, and Parliamentary Affairs, Padam Giri. "The leaders were united to finalize the disputed issues based on a consensus," Giri stated.

The meeting focused on advancing the bill on transitional justice and completing the remaining tasks of the peace process. Minister Giri noted that while most TJ issues have been settled, three or four key points remain unresolved. "We will make a breakthrough after forging consensus on these as well," he added.

Outstanding issues include serious human rights violations, the recruitment of children in the military, reparation for those affected by the conflict, and other related matters.

The meeting was attended by Prime Minister and CPN (Maoist Centre) Chair Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda', Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba, CPN (UML) Chair KP Sharma Oli, and other leaders from the three political parties.
