Private Sector Key to Building a Self-Reliant Economy: Chair Dahal

Narayangadh: Chairperson of the CPN (Maoist Centre), Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda,' has emphasized the importance of involving the private sector to create a self-reliant national economy.
Speaking at the third annual general assembly of the Federation of Nepalese Industry and Trade in Bharatpur, Chitwan, he urged industrialists and entrepreneurs to focus on strengthening the nation’s economic independence.
Chair Dahal highlighted the need to uplift middle-class citizens to build a robust economy. He expressed concern about Nepal’s current dependence on imports for many goods, including food, despite having been self-sufficient in food production in the past. He called for collective efforts to address this situation and strengthen the economy.
Reflecting on his 18-month tenure as Prime Minister, Dahal mentioned his dedication to good governance, social justice, and economic prosperity. He reiterated the importance of encouraging the private sector to play a significant role in building a self-reliant national economy.
