Morang: Nepali Congress leader Dr. Shekhar Koirala has emphasized that problems faced by the country should be addressed within the constitutional framework rather than through violent means.

Speaking at the foundation stone-laying ceremony of Budhiganga Park in Budhiganga Rural Municipality-1, Morang, on Thursday, Koirala reaffirmed that while every citizen has the right to peaceful protest, such actions must remain within constitutional limits.

He condemned violence, vandalism, and arson, stating that these are not viable solutions to national issues. Referring to the March 28 Tinkune incident, he stressed the need for a fair investigation and called for a probe committee to look into the matter.

Dr. Koirala also underscored the importance of reform within political parties to strengthen the federal democratic republic. He urged the Nepali Congress (NC) and the CPN-UML-led government to focus on constitutional amendments, economic development, good governance, and employment creation.

Meanwhile, Jit Narayan Thapamagar, Chairperson of Budhiganga Rural Municipality, shared that Budhiganga Park is being developed to promote tourism. The park, covering 4 bighas of land on the bank of the Singhiya stream, is being constructed at an estimated cost of Rs 210 million.
