Biratnagar: Nepali Congress President and former Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has assured that the current coalition government will continue, dismissing speculation about immediate changes in ministerial positions.
Coalition Remains Intact
Speaking to journalists at Biratnagar Airport, Deuba said there would be no immediate reshuffle of ministers and emphasized the stability of the ruling alliance.
Constitution Amendment Requires Broad Consensus
On the issue of constitutional amendment, Deuba stressed that a two-thirds majority and the consensus of all parties are essential for making any changes.
General Convention on Schedule
Responding to queries about the Nepali Congress General Convention, Deuba said it would be held at the appropriate time.
No Restriction for Former Leaders
He further clarified that the constitution does not restrict former presidents or vice presidents from participating in politics, indicating that senior leaders remain free to engage in political activities.
