Political Leaders Call for United Rescue and Relief Efforts Amid Flood and Landslide Disasters

Kathmandu: Leaders of major political parties have called for unity and proactive action in rescue and relief operations as floods, landslides, and inundation triggered by continuous rainfall wreak havoc across the country.

Maoist Chair Prachanda Urges ‘War-Level Coordination’

Nepal Communist Party (Maoist Centre) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ issued a press statement urging all three tiers of government to ensure “war-level coordination and leadership” in addressing the disaster situation.
He appealed to political parties, social organizations, civil society, and his party cadres to join hands in the national rescue and relief efforts during this critical time.

Madhav Nepal Calls for Immediate Rescue Support

CPN (Unified Socialist) Chairman Madhav Kumar Nepal urged all concerned authorities and party cadres to prioritize the rescue of people at high risk and to provide necessary relief materials to affected communities.
He emphasized the need for immediate coordination between local administrations and volunteers to prevent further loss of life.

RPP Directs Cadres to Assist Victims

Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) Chairman Rajendra Lingden expressed deep sorrow over the loss of lives and property caused by the monsoon rains.
He instructed party leaders and members at all levels to actively engage in assisting affected citizens and supporting local rescue operations.

JSP Appeals for Disaster Response Mobilization

The Janata Samajwadi Party (JSP) also issued an appeal for nationwide support in managing the ongoing disaster.
Party Deputy General Secretary Pradeep Yadav urged all JSP leaders and cadres to mobilize locally in rescue, relief, and disaster mitigation efforts.
