Kathmandu: Nepali Congress President Gagan Kumar Thapa has said that he is in continuous dialogue with outgoing party President Sher Bahadur Deuba and other senior leaders. Speaking at a program organized in Janakpur on Friday, Thapa stated that regular discussions are ongoing to strengthen party unity as the country heads toward the House of Representatives elections scheduled for Falgun 21.

He urged all party cadres to unite and actively participate in the election campaign, stating that there is no room for internal divisions at this crucial time. Thapa acknowledged that some difficulties and disagreements emerged during the party convention but stressed that the Nepali Congress has the capacity to address such challenges.

President Thapa said the party is moving forward in a united manner for the upcoming elections and clarified that no one would be treated differently based on past positions. However, he warned that strict action would be taken against any leader or cadre who fails to cooperate with the party’s official candidates.

Emphasizing the need to move beyond past disputes, Thapa said all party members must face the elections with a common mindset. He also expressed confidence that the party would become even more united after the elections and move forward with renewed energy under new leadership.
