Kathmandu: The Nepali Congress is preparing to include ‘Vision-10’ in its manifesto for the upcoming elections, focusing on good governance, development and practical action plans.
Speaking at a press conference held at the party office in Sanepa on Saturday, party spokesperson Devraj Chalise said the manifesto will reflect the real condition of the country and will not be limited to promises alone. He informed that the document will clearly mention the resources, means and measures required for implementation.
“The manifesto will not only list programs but also explain how resources will be managed to implement them,” Chalise said.
He added that the party is currently collecting suggestions from districts across the country and that inputs from local, regional and district levels will be linked with national priorities. According to him, the Congress aims to present a practical, implementable and inclusive manifesto that represents all classes, regions and communities.
Chalise said the manifesto will address both present challenges and future directions, offering credible alternatives to the public. He also stressed that the country should not be turned into a “laboratory” in the name of constant political experimentation.
Stating that political institutions do not become old, Chalise said renewal comes through new ideas and leadership. He emphasized that the upcoming elections will determine the country’s future direction and expressed confidence that the Congress represents a credible future for Nepal.
