Rastriya Swatantra Party Leads House Election as Results of 163 Constituencies Announced

Kathmandu: Results of 163 out of 165 constituencies in the direct elections for Nepal’s House of Representatives have been announced, with the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) emerging as the dominant political force.

RSP Secures Massive Lead

According to the results released so far, the Rastriya Swatantra Party has won 125 seats, establishing a strong lead in the election.

The Nepali Congress secured 18 seats, while the Communist Party of Nepal (Unified Marxist–Leninist) (CPN-UML) won 9 seats.

Similarly, the Nepal Communist Party secured 7 seats, and the Shram Sanskriti Party won 3 seats. The Rastriya Prajatantra Party and one independent candidate have each secured one seat.

Results Halted in Dhanusha-1

Meanwhile, the Election Commission Nepal has temporarily halted the publication of results from Dhanusha-1 constituency.

As a result, the results from 164 constituencies are currently available, while the final outcomes from the remaining constituencies are yet to be officially confirmed.
