Madhes Pragya Pratishthan to Document History of Madhes

Mahottari: The Madhes Pragya Pratishthan has announced that it will be documenting the history of Madhes over the next three years. The project will be led by Ram Bharos Kapadi 'Bhramar,' the President of the Academy.

The project will encompass the evolution of languages, cultures, traditions, and the diverse castes present in the ancient regions of Kochila, Mithila, Bhojpura, Magadha, Awadh, and Tharuhat. The goal is to shed light on the rich historical legacy of Madhes and bring forth a deeper understanding of its cultural heritage.

The symposium on Madhes history was held in Bardibas, and it was attended by distinguished experts, researchers, and linguists from the Tarai region of the country. During the event, a collective decision was made to document the history of the entire Tarai region.

The project is a significant undertaking, and it is sure to be a valuable resource for scholars and anyone interested in the history and culture of Madhes.
