Kathmandu: Top leaders from the ruling parties convened today at the Prime Minister's official residence in Baluwatar to address the country's latest political situation and discuss contemporary issues. The meeting, presided over by Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda', involved informal talks concerning the formation of a new government in Koshi Province.

According to Manahari Timilsina, the press expert of Prime Minister Dahal, the leaders engaged in productive discussions on the matter. It was the first gathering of top leaders since the Prime Minister's return from his visit to Italy.

Among those present at the occasion were Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda', who also serves as the Chairman of CPN (Maoist Centre), Sher Bahadur Deuba, the President of Nepali Congress, Purna Bahadur Khadka, the Vice-President and Deputy Prime Minister of NC, Bishow Prakash Sharma, the General Secretary of NC, and Krishna Prasad Sitaula, a prominent leader.

During the meeting, the leaders took note of the recent ruling by the Supreme Court (SC), which nullified the appointment of Uddhav Thapa as Chief Minister of Koshi Province, citing its contradiction to the law. This decision added to the urgency of discussing the formation of a new government in the region.

The meeting highlighted the commitment of the ruling parties to address key issues facing the country and to work collaboratively in resolving challenges. As the nation navigates through political complexities, the leaders' engagement is seen as a positive step towards finding a viable resolution.
