Foreign Minister Prakash Saud Deems US Visit Fruitful

Kathmandu: Foreign Affairs Minister Narayan Prakash Saud has described his visit to the United States as fruitful. On his return to Nepal this evening, Saud told the media that his visit had succeeded in further strengthening Nepal-US relations.

"Bilateral relations have deepened, fostering greater mutual friendship, cooperation, and assistance between Nepal and the United States," said the Minister.

Saud also revealed that he had held a bilateral meeting with his US counterpart, Antony J. Blinken, and both parties had committed to enhancing bilateral cooperation. During his visit, Saud had urged US government officials to increase support to Nepal in various areas such as IT development, food security, agriculture, market access, investment, and trade.

Furthermore, the two sides discussed the timely implementation of the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) projects. The Foreign Minister has also extended an invitation to US Secretary of State Antony J. Blinken to visit Nepal.

Minister Saud embarked on his visit to the US on October 29.
