Kaski: In a significant development, the Pokhara High Court has issued a temporary order permitting Lakeside, the renowned tourist hub in Pokhara, to remain open 24 hours a day. This decision was made by a single bench of High Court Judge Rajan Prasad Bhattarai, addressing a petition filed by Devi Kumari Baral.

The court issued the order directly to the District Administration Office Kaski, instructing them to allow business operations in Lakeside to continue around the clock. Devi Kumari Baral's petition sought a directive to prevent the local administration from imposing restrictions on business activities in the lake city beyond midnight.

As part of the court's directive, the defendant, in this case, the District Administration Office Kaski, has been given 15 days to submit a written response. The response should include detailed grounds, reasons, and evidence justifying any limitations imposed on business operations in the popular tourist destination beyond the regular operating hours.

This court order marks a notable development in the ongoing discussions surrounding business hours in Lakeside, emphasizing the importance of addressing the concerns raised by local businesses and residents.
