Nepali Congress CWC Decides on Criteria for National Assembly Member Election

Kathmandu: The central working committee meeting of the Nepali Congress concluded with a decision to establish specific criteria for selecting the party's candidate in the upcoming National Assembly elections.
The meeting, held at the party's central office in Sanepa from December 28, also approved the modified date for the Mahasamiti meeting and scheduled the Congress campaign among the community for January 21 to February 5, according to Chief of the Information, Communication, and Publicity Department, Min Bishwakarma.
The central committee urged the government to provide services ensuring good governance to the people while addressing issues observed in the field of good governance. Additionally, the NC CWC demanded an investigation to uncover the truth behind the Balkumari incident on Friday, punish the culprits, and provide compensation to the victims.
