Supreme Court Administration Calls for Action Against Sidhakura.com Publisher and Editor

Kathmandu: The Supreme Court Administration has urged for action to be taken against Yubaraj Kandel, the publisher, and Nabin Dhungana, the executive editor of Sidhakura.com, for contempt of court.
A report compiled by the sub-registrar of the court, Govinda Prasad Ghimire, is set to be submitted to the court on Monday. The report strongly recommends severe penalties for disseminating misleading and defamatory content online and on YouTube. The content, titled 'Sting operation of meetings attended by Supreme Court judges to dismiss more than 400 corruption-related cases', is deemed as contemptuous.
Furthermore, the report calls upon relevant authorities to bring those responsible for spreading false news before the court. It urges for thorough investigations and the implementation of appropriate measures against any criminal offenses committed.
