Kathmandu: Leader Madhav Kumar Nepal has been unanimously elected as the Chairperson of the Communist Party of Nepal (Unified Socialist) (CPN-US). The 10th general convention of the party, currently taking place at the Nepal Academy in Kamaladi, Kathmandu, elected former Prime Minister Nepal to the top post without opposition.
Ghanashyam Bhusal has also been unanimously chosen as the General Secretary of the party. Additionally, the general convention nominated former Prime Minister Jhalanath Khanal as the senior leader.
According to the party's publicity department, the general convention unanimously decided on these key positions, while the party secretariat will finalize other positions.
