Kathmandu: The Socialist Front, an alliance of four political parties, has resolved to convene meetings across all seven provinces, with the first of these sessions scheduled for August 25.
Following a morning assembly at the central office of the CPN (Unified Socialist) Party in Baneshwar, the Front agreed to organize gatherings in each of the seven provinces, as revealed by Pramesh Hamal, Vice President of CPN (US).
The inaugural provincial assembly of the Front is planned for August 25 in Birganj of Madhes province, followed by gatherings in Butwal of Lumbini province on August 29, Dhangadhi of Sudurpaschim province on August 30, Surkhet in Karnali province on August 31, Pokhara in Gandaki province on September 1, Hetauda of Bagmati province on September 9, and Biratnagar of Koshi province on September 11.
Hamal shared that the intention is to establish provincial fronts through these meetings. In addition, today's gathering reviewed the government's performance, contemporary political developments, and strategies for garnering support for the ongoing anti-corruption campaign led by the current administration.
Comprising the CPN (Maoist Centre), Janata Samajbadi Party, CPN (Unified Socialist), and the Biplav-led CPN, the Socialist Front aims to unify efforts and advance its agenda through these province-wide engagements.
