Kathmandu: The opposition party, CPN (Maoist Centre), has announced a mass mobilization event to address contemporary political issues and exert pressure on the government. At a press conference held at the party's central office in Paris Danda, Vice-Chairman and Spokesperson Agni Prasad Sapkota stated that the demonstration aims to push for urgent relief and rehabilitation for disaster-hit individuals.

The party's demands include holding those responsible for cooperative fund misappropriation accountable, searching for missing disaster victims, providing treatment for the injured, and offering relief and temporary settlements for affected families. Scheduled for October 26 in Kathmandu, the event is part of the Maoist Centre's broader effort to advocate for good governance, social justice, and economic prosperity while reinforcing the constitution and democracy.

Earlier, the Maoist Centre had submitted a memo to the government to highlight these concerns.
