Indian Prime Minister Modi Congratulates Newly-Appointed Nepali PM Oli

Kathmandu: Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi, has extended his congratulations to KP Sharma Oli on his recent appointment as the Prime Minister of Nepal.

In a message shared on his social media platform X, Modi expressed his eagerness to work closely with Oli to enhance the relationship between the two neighboring countries. "Congratulations @kpsharmaoli on your appointment as the Prime Minister of Nepal. Look forward to working closely to further strengthen the deep bonds of friendship between our two countries and to further expand our mutually beneficial cooperation for the progress and prosperity of our peoples," wrote Modi.

In response, Prime Minister Oli thanked Modi for his warm congratulations and expressed his commitment to fostering strong Nepal-India relations. "Thank you, Prime Minister @narendramodi, for your warm congratulations. I am committed to working closely with you to strengthen Nepal-India relations for our mutual benefit. Together, we can elevate our historic ties to new heights," Oli replied on the same platform.

Earlier today, President Ramchandra Paudel administered the oath of office and secrecy to the newly-appointed Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli at a special ceremony held at Rashtrapati Bhawan, Sheetal Niwas. The event marks the official beginning of Oli's term as the head of the Nepali government.
