Govt to Implement Co-op Probe Committee Report

Kathmandu: The government has decided to implement the report of the "Parliamentary Inquiry Special Committee on Misuse of Savings of Financial Cooperatives Institutions, 2081". The decision was made during a Cabinet meeting on Wednesday, according to Minister for Communications and Information Technology, Prithivi Subba Gurung.

The report, endorsed by the federal parliament, will now be forwarded to the Ministry of Land Management, Cooperatives and Poverty Alleviation, the Ministry of Finance, and the Ministry of Home Affairs for enforcement.

The "Report of the Parliamentary Inquiry Special Committee on Misuse of Savings of Financial Cooperatives Institutions, 2081" was presented to the House of Representatives on September 16 by Committee Chair Surya Bahadur Thapa. Speaker Devraj Ghimire directed the Parliament Secretariat to send the report to the government for necessary action.

Additionally, the Cabinet decided to implement the common resolution and policy commitments of the current government.



New
