Lumbini: The Lumbini Province government has introduced a plan to make the region self-reliant through tourism. On the occasion of World Tourism Day, Lumbini Province Chief Minister Chet Narayan Acharya announced the "Travel Lumbini" concept, aimed at boosting tourism to promote income generation and self-sufficiency in the province.

Chief Minister Acharya emphasized that the tourism sector is central to improving citizens' living standards, highlighting the province's diverse cultural, religious, and natural resources as key assets for attracting visitors.

As part of this initiative, the government is working on developing a "Lumbini Tourism Circuit" to encourage tourists to explore the major destinations across the province's 12 districts. The plan focuses on utilizing the province’s rich biodiversity, cultural diversity, and religious significance to enhance tourism and economic growth.
