High Alert Issued as Bagmati River Surpasses Danger Level Due to Heavy Rainfall

Kathmandu: The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology's Flood Monitoring Hydrological Forecast Division has warned Khokana station was recorded above 4 meters with water level already reaching to around 5 meters.

Local residents have been warned as the riverside and those traveling near the yatra (Yatra) of Bagmati River basin are prone to extreme caution. Similarly, the level of rivers and streams across India has started to reach critical levels as a result of continuous rainfall.
