Kathmandu: The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology reported a noticeable drop in temperatures across Nepal as westerly winds influence the weather pattern. Additionally, local winds are affecting the hilly regions of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces.

Following the end of the monsoon season, the Kathmandu Valley's minimum temperature dipped to 16°C today, with the maximum temperature expected to range between 26°C and 28°C. Across the country, temperatures have fallen in response to these shifts in weather patterns.

The department predicts that hilly areas will experience partly to generally cloudy skies, while other regions will remain mostly clear. There is a possibility of light rain, accompanied by thunder and lightning, in a few places in the hilly areas of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, as well as in isolated spots in the hilly regions of the rest of the country.

Similar conditions are forecast for the coming days, with partly cloudy to generally cloudy skies in the hilly belts of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces and light rain expected in isolated areas.
