Kathmandu: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has called on the nation to join a campaign aimed at eradicating mosquito breeding grounds to combat the spread of dengue.

In a message issued today, the PM urged all citizens, civil servants, security forces, social activists, and stakeholders to actively participate in the campaign, which will take place every Friday at 10:10 am.

Oli emphasized that regular efforts to destroy mosquito breeding sites, including larva, pupa, and stagnant water ditches, are crucial to controlling the ongoing dengue outbreak, which remains a significant public health challenge in several districts of Nepal. He encouraged communities to conduct such clean-up activities at least once a week to ensure effective dengue prevention.
