Kathmandu: Several Hindu organizations, including Vishwa Hindu Mahasangh, Shiv Sena Nepal, Vishwa Hindu Yuva Sangh, Jagatguru Ashram, and 13 groups affiliated with Hindu Jagaran Nepal, have submitted a request to the Film Development Board to halt the screening of the movie 'Ek Bhagavad Gita.' They claim that the film's title and characters have offended Sanatan Dharma (the eternal religion).

In response to these complaints, the Film Development Board has reportedly halted the endorsement process for the movie. The film was scheduled for screening on September 15.

However, the film's producers have registered a complaint against the Board's decision to stop the process. They argue that the film's title was approved by the Board, and changing it now would result in commercial losses.

Ramkrishna Pokhrel, President of Jagaran Nepal, stated in his complaint that the movie's title has no connection to the story's essence and was used solely for commercial purposes. He mentioned that they would not object to changing the title before the film's release.

The film, directed by Jharna Thapa, features actors Bipin Karki, Suhana Thapa, Dhiraj Magar, and others.
