Chitwan: Dr. Shashanka Koirala, a prominent leader of the Nepali Congress (NC), has unequivocally ruled out the likelihood of a government change in the current political climate. In his statements to the media today, he emphasized that despite certain misunderstandings among the ruling coalition members, there is no immediate prospect of a government change.

"As far as I am concerned, the government led by Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' has the potential to endure for a full five-year term," he declared, highlighting the importance of a stable government in driving the nation towards development. Dr. Koirala further noted that there is no significant power struggle within the current government.

The NC leader took the opportunity to underline the exceptional stature of Pushpa Kamal Dahal, commonly known as Prachanda, emphasizing that he saw no indication of a possible collaboration between the CPN (UML) and CPN (Maoist Centre) in the foreseeable future.

Dr. Koirala also reflected on his previous preference for the NC to remain in the opposition and stressed the importance of internal unity within the party to uphold its legacy. He advised the party leadership to provide opportunities for the younger generation to assume leadership roles within the NC.
