Birgunj (Parsa): Nepali Congress President and former Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has stressed the importance of unity among all Nepali people for the nation’s progress and prosperity. Speaking at the inauguration of the Nepali Congress Parsa district office building today, Deuba emphasized the need for collective effort from all communities, including different castes, indigenous nationalities, Madhesi, women, Tharu, and Muslims.

“It is essential for all castes, religions, and cultures to work together for development and prosperity,” Deuba remarked. He also recalled the historical significance of Parsa, where the 2007 BS revolution began, and the martyrdom of Thirabam Malla. Deuba reminisced about the time when one had to travel through India to reach Parsa due to the absence of the East-West Highway.

The newly inaugurated Atmaram Ojha, Dukh Sahni Memorial Building in Birgunj Metropolitan City Ward No. 24 will serve as the party office. The building, constructed at a cost of Rs 10.2 million, will house the Nepali Congress Parsa district office.
