NRDRA Releases Nearly NPR 240 Million for Temporary Housing in Earthquake-Affected Areas

Kathmandu: The National Risk Reduction and Disaster Management Authority (NRDRA) disbursed the first installment of funds for the construction of temporary housing for earthquake survivors in Jajarkot. Dhruva Bahadur Khadka, spokesperson for NDRRA, shared that approximately NPR 240 million was released on Friday, adding to the earlier disbursement of NPR 220.09 million for the same purpose.

The funds are directed towards 18,328 verified beneficiaries out of the total 28,527. The beneficiaries receiving the disbursement include 3,309 in Jajarkot, 214 in Bajura, 14,224 in Rukum Paschim, and 577 in Bajhang. Khadka mentioned that funds for 1,485 beneficiaries in Salyan are yet to be disbursed, and the process will be completed soon.

This financial support aims to aid earthquake survivors in constructing temporary housing, providing them with crucial resources for recovery and rebuilding efforts.
