Nepali Congress General-Secretaries Emphasize Party Strengthening and Accountability

Godavari (Lalitpur): During the concluding session of the Nepali Congress Mahasamiti meeting at the Sunrise Conference Centre in Godavari, Lalitpur, on Thursday, General-Secretary Gagan Kumar Thapa underscored the need for the Nepali Congress (NC) to make bold decisions and investigate the properties of individuals who have held leadership positions since 2046 BS.

Thapa also emphasized the importance of recalling ministers with poor performance and not protecting those involved in corruption cases.

In a similar vein, General-Secretary Bishwa Prakash Sharma stated that the Mahasamiti meeting has conveyed a message of unity within the NC, demonstrating a commitment to advancing good governance and prosperity in the country. He urged the party to follow the decisions endorsed by the meeting.

Joint General-Secretary Pharmullah Mansoor emphasized the necessity for unity among NC leaders and cadres across the country to strengthen the party. He highlighted the all-inclusive representation in the party, with proportional representation from various spheres, including women, Madhesi, and Muslims in the parliament, achieved through the proportional election system enabled by the NC.

Other Joint General-Secretaries, including Umakant Chaudhary, Mahalaxmi (Dina) Upadhyay, Bhisma Raj Aangdembe, Badri Prasad Pandey, and Kishor Singh Rathore, echoed the sentiment of making the party stronger by connecting with the people. They reiterated the importance of strengthening the NC's presence among the public.
