UML Secretariat Meeting Approves Annual Action Plan

Kathmandu: The CPN (UML) has approved its annual action plan during a secretariat meeting held at the party’s central office in Chyasal, Lalitpur. General Secretary Shankar Pokharel informed that the action plan, which includes 18 different topics, was passed based on suggestions from the Politburo meeting.

Key points of the action plan include party membership renewal, documentation, and completing remaining district conventions by the end of November. The party also aims to become the largest party in the 2084 BS general election. Additionally, a youth summit will be organized to emphasize the role of youth in nation-building.

The meeting also expressed condolences over the death of Communist Party of India (Marxist) General Secretary Sitaram Yechury, and Senior Vice President Ishwar Pokharel will attend his last rites.

General Secretary Pokharel noted increasing public optimism following the formation of the current government led by UML Chair KP Sharma Oli.
