Kathmandu: The Nepali Congress (NC) expressed concern over the disruptive behavior of supporters of Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) President Rabi Lamichhane, stating that their actions are undermining the investigation and judicial process. In a press release on Wednesday, the NC criticized the supporters for attempting to intimidate state agencies and interfere with the independent investigation into Lamichhane's alleged involvement in cooperative fraud.

The NC condemned the rowdy demonstrations, accusing the RSP of undermining public order and disrupting peace and security. They emphasized that the government's responsibility is to enforce the parliamentary probe committee's recommendations, which led to the arrest of Lamichhane and others linked to financial misconduct.

The statement urged all citizens, especially political leaders, to respect the legal process, emphasizing that no one should be exempt from investigation and justice. The NC called the actions of RSP supporters a mockery of the Nepali people's aspirations for fairness and justice.
