Significant Achievements in All Sectors, Says PM Dahal

Kathmandu: In a recent address at the installation and swearing-in ceremony of the newly elected executive committee of the All Nepal Federation of Trade Unions, Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal, also known as "Prachanda," emphasized the significant achievements made in various sectors since the establishment of the federal democratic republic.

PM Dahal expressed his satisfaction with the overall progress, particularly in the fields of education and health. He highlighted that the republic has undergone qualitative advancements in all aspects compared to the previous autocracy and monarchy.

During the ceremony, Dahal emphasized the government's commitment to labor and grassroots development, underscoring their priority in policy-making and the programs presented in parliament. The government has placed a strong focus on issues such as production and creating employment opportunities, which are accorded high importance. The forthcoming budget for the next fiscal year, 2023/24, will address the remaining issues, further augmenting production and job prospects, added the prime minister.

Dahal also highlighted the government's initiatives in promoting good governance and economic stability. He mentioned the government's efforts to reform the stock market and increase revenue, signaling a commitment to fiscal responsibility. Moreover, he highlighted measures taken to enhance remittance inflow and ensure the welfare of Nepali migrant workers through the social security fund.

The prime minister emphasized the government's renewed campaign for good governance, assuring the audience of their commitment to upholding it. He emphasized the ongoing dialogue between top political leaders, recognizing the need for unity among major political parties to safeguard the progress achieved through various significant milestones in Nepal's political history.

Dahal specifically mentioned the issue of Bhutanese refugees, emphasizing the importance of holding the guilty accountable while protecting the innocent. He stressed the need for impartial police investigations, free from any external pressures. Dahal assured that discussions on such matters were being conducted with utmost sincerity.

The prime minister's speech comes at a time when Nepal faces multiple challenges, including poverty, unemployment, and corruption. However, Dahal's address signals the government's determination to address these issues head-on and improve the lives of all Nepalis.
