Kathmandu: The arrival of the monsoon in the Kathmandu Valley is anticipated to take a few more days. Currently, the eastern part of the country is experiencing monsoon influences, while the rest of the nation is affected by local and western winds, as well as a low-pressure system around Bihar.
Meteorologist Sanjeev Adhikari from the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology noted slim chances of rain in the Kathmandu Valley today. The maximum temperature is expected to range between 32 and 34 degrees Celsius. The hilly regions of Sudurpaschim, Karnali, and Koshi provinces will see partly to generally cloudy conditions, while the rest of the country is expected to have fair weather.
Light rain has been observed in one or two places in Koshi province. This afternoon, the weather will remain partly to generally cloudy in the hilly regions of Bagmati and Gandaki provinces and mainly fair elsewhere. Light to moderate rain, accompanied by thunder and lightning, is likely in some areas of the hilly regions of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces.
For tonight, the Meteorological Forecasting Division has predicted partly to generally cloudy conditions in the hilly regions of Koshi and Gandaki provinces and partly fair weather in the rest of the country. Light to moderate rain, with thunder and lightning, is likely in some hilly areas of Koshi and Gandaki provinces. The maximum temperature is expected to remain between 32 and 34 degrees Celsius.
