Kathmandu Valley's Temperature to Remain High Today

Kathmandu: The eastern part of Nepal is currently experiencing the influence of the monsoon system, while the rest of the country, including the Kathmandu Valley, is affected by local and westerly winds along with a low-pressure area formed around Bihar.

Weather Overview and Predictions
The weather in the hilly regions, including Koshi, Madhes, and Bagmati provinces, will be partly to generally cloudy, whereas other parts of the country will remain clear. The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology reports that light rain with thunder and lightning is occurring in some areas of Koshi province.

Meteorologist Govinda Jha mentioned that scattered rainfall is expected in the Kathmandu Valley this afternoon due to local wind influences. Despite the rain, temperatures are anticipated to remain high, ranging between 31 and 33 degrees Celsius. The monsoon is expected to arrive in a few more days.

This afternoon, the weather will be partly to generally cloudy in the hilly regions of Bagmati and Gandaki provinces and fair in the rest of the country. Light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning is likely in some areas of the hilly regions of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces.

The Meteorological Forecasting Division predicts that tonight the weather will be partly to generally cloudy in the hilly regions of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces. Light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning is expected at a few places in these hilly regions and at one or two places in the rest of the country. Additionally, there is a possibility of windstorms in some areas of Koshi and Madhes provinces.

In the next 24 hours, light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning is expected at a few places in the hilly regions of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, and at one or two places in the rest of the country. The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has advised people to remain alert due to the possibility of storms in some areas of the Tarai region in Koshi and Madhes provinces.
