Kathmandu: The eastern part of Nepal is currently experiencing the influence of the monsoon system, while the rest of the country, including the Kathmandu Valley, is affected by local and westerly winds along with a low-pressure area formed around Bihar.

The weather in the hilly regions, including Koshi, Madhes, and Bagmati provinces, will be partly to generally cloudy, whereas other parts of the country will remain clear. The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology reports that light rain with thunder and lightning is occurring in some areas of Koshi province.
Meteorologist Govinda Jha mentioned that scattered rainfall is expected in the Kathmandu Valley this afternoon due to local wind influences. Despite the rain, temperatures are anticipated to remain high, ranging between 31 and 33 degrees Celsius. The monsoon is expected to arrive in a few more days.
