Kathmandu: The monsoon has officially withdrawn from Kathmandu Valley as of Tuesday, according to the Weather Forecasting Division of the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology. This marks the end of the rainy season for the Valley and several other regions.
Meteorologist Rojan Lamichhane confirmed that the monsoon has retreated from the entirety of Karnali, Lumbini, Gandaki provinces, and most parts of Bagmati and Madhesh provinces. However, monsoon conditions are still active in Koshi Province and parts of the eastern regions of Bagmati and Madhesh provinces.
Meanwhile, westerly winds continue to influence weather patterns in Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali, Sudurpaschim provinces, and western areas of Bagmati and Madhesh provinces.
